How to Apply for an Award or Scholarship

The awards provide opportunities for teachers or students of Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts to pursue further education in the Arts at summer schools or workshops. Consideration will also be given to providing financial assistance for the purchase of musical instruments and equipment. The value of the awards will vary from year to year and in any given year, The Foundation may choose not to make an award.

Applicants for an award must meet certain basic eligibility criteria, and must be:

• a permanent resident or citizen of Canada;
• a resident of Alberta;
• a teacher or a student of Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts; and
• pursuing a program of advanced education in the Arts or in need of necessary equipment or supplies to further their education in the performing and visual arts.

Different application procedures are in place for students and teachers, and are detailed in full in the Application Guide available in the Downloads area of our site. Applicants are required to fill out and submit a number of forms, all of which are available in the Downloads area.
